Hope for Japan

Someone on the web has connected a recent picture from Sendai (one of the cities which have been most affected by the recent earthquake and tsunami) with a similar picture taken in Nagasaki in 1945, after the atomic bomb leveled the city.

The fact that the only thing standing is a torii, the access portal to a sacred area, suggests that Japan will once again lift itself up and prosper again. We certainly hope for that.
